World-Class Arts Campus Coming to Dubuque in 2027

A new destination is set to open in downtown Dubuque in late 2027.  The new campus for the Dubuque Museum of Art is a $69 million dollar project with approximately 40,000 square feet of built space and a two-block arts campus that connects historic Washington Park to gardens, a new indoor/outdoor event center, outdoor screening room, performance spaces, two breakout rooms, and a world-class art museum.

The new arts campus is designed by Schulhof Rashidi Architects a firm focused on designing educational and cultural facilities.  In their work with Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects + Partners, they served on the leadership team for the public spaces of David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and the US Embassy in Mexico City.

The project will anchor an arts district that connects the Fenelon Place elevator, Five Flags Center, and the Historic Millwork District.
